Ankle-Foot Orthotics (AFO)
Each custom-fabricated Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO) is designed to meet the unique needs of each patient. Using a precise cast or digital scan, we ensure an accurate fit. These orthoses are then modified by hand or through Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technology for maximum comfort and support. We use only the highest quality materials. For a more affordable and timely alternative, pre-fabricated AFOs are also available in standard sizes.
Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthotics (KAFO)
A KAFO is a specialized leg brace that stabilizes the knee, ankle, and foot joints, providing essential support for individuals experiencing muscle weakness, paralysis, or skeletal misalignments. These braces improve mobility by controlling instability, reducing excessive motion, aligning the lower limb, and minimizing joint pain.
Thermoplastic KAFO
These custom-made braces are molded from heated thermoplastics over a modified leg replica or a 3D scan. They are lightweight and more aesthetically appealing than metal alternatives.
Conventional KAFO
Crafted from a leg cast or tracing, these braces are made of metal and leather, attaching directly to a shoe via stirrups for durability and support.
Carbon Graphite KAFO
A modern, lightweight design that enhances mobility and energy return during walking while maintaining strength and durability.
Hip-Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis (HKAFO)
An HKAFO is an extended orthosis that provides support from the hip down to the foot. It consists of a pelvic band connected to leg uprights with controlled hip, knee, and ankle joints. This comprehensive brace promotes biomechanical alignment and enhances stability during standing and walking.
HKAFOs strategically regulate movement at multiple levels:
Hip joints can be adjusted to allow or restrict rotation.
Knee joints provide stability while standing and controlled motion while walking.
The ankle-foot component supports natural gait patterns and reduces strain on muscles and ligaments.
Hip Abduction Orthotics
Benefits of Hip Orthotics:
Enhanced hip stability, posture, and alignment
Increased muscle strength and balance
Reduced pain and inflammation
Lower risk of injury
Prevention or slowed progression of degenerative hip joint diseases
Relief from arthritis, tendonitis, strains, sprains, bursitis, and other hip-related issues
Improved mobility and overall quality of life
Spinal Braces
Lumbosacral Orthosis (LSO) – Restricts torso movement.
Thoracolumbosacral Orthosis (TLSO) – Manages spinal curvature during growth.
Cervical Thoracic Lumbosacral Orthosis (CTLSO) – Helps prevent scoliosis and kyphosis progression.
Cervical-Thoracic Orthosis (CTO) – Supports the upper back and neck, aiding in post-injury or post-surgical recovery by limiting movement and ensuring alignment.
Knee Braces
Prophylactic Braces – Designed for athletes in high-impact sports, these braces provide additional knee support and help prevent injuries.
Functional Braces – Recommended for individuals recovering from knee injuries, such as ligament tears, functional braces provide stability and aid in healing while preventing further damage.
MCL and LCL Braces – These braces support the medial and lateral collateral ligaments, promoting knee stability and recovery.
Unloader Braces – Designed specifically for knee osteoarthritis, unloader braces shift weight away from affected areas to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
Pediatric Cranial Helmet for Infants
The Pediatric Cranial Remolding Helmet is designed to correct plagiocephaly and brachycephaly in infants, with early intervention leading to the most effective results. Our helmet gently reshapes your baby’s head, ensuring optimal outcomes when treatment begins promptly.
We exclusively use Orthomerica’s FDA-approved STARband system, a trusted solution that successfully treats nearly all cases of plagiocephaly.
With just one headband, our approach is both cost-effective and efficient—eliminating the need for multiple helmets, unlike other providers.

PROSTHETIC SOLUTIONS
Osseointegration
Osseointegration is a process in which a metal implant, such as a bone screw or artificial joint, becomes firmly connected to the surrounding bone tissue. The implant is surgically inserted into the bone. Over time, the body's cells bond between the implant and the bone, creating a stable and durable connection.
-
This process is facilitated by factors such as:
Implant design and surface
Surgical technique
Patient health and healing
-
Bone fracture fixation
Limb reconstruction
Dental implants
Prosthetic limb attachment
-
Contact our expert team at OPCA to determine if osseointegration is an appropriate treatment option for you. Osseointegration is a complex surgical procedure that requires careful planning and execution. It is unsuitable for all patients and may have potential risks and complications.
